Lauras Kiss

Laura's Kiss.... is a 20x24 oil on linen. I was inspired to do this painting after reading a blog by a "friend" on Myspace named Laura. It appeared that we had suffered many of the same heartaches as children, and even adults. I carried this around with me for a few weeks, and then decided to try and do a painting showing the uncanny and most unfortunate ways that two people who have never met can relate to one another and even share emotion for a brief time...

I hope you enjoy this painting... and dont focus on the sadness these two women are feeling, but rather on the communion they are sharing.

Surrendering

20x24 oil on canvas... I was at first a bit upset with the message of this painting. After all, surrendering is not always a good option, however, after giving it more thought, I came to terms with the painting. Surrendering doesnt always have to be a bad thing. We can surrender to love, feelings, a better way... etc. I like it much better now, and the message can be more positive than originally intended!

The Birth of Insight. My newest painting. This is an oval canvas, 16x20. This is also an autobiographical piece. I began understanding and gaining insight into who I was 3 years ago when I began painting. Thus the title... hope you enjoy it!
